cologne, germany yesterday
so much fun! it was a 50 euro round trip for a 7 hour day trip, so it was a bit pricey...but it turned out well.
i went with matt, taylor, brooke, and hillary, and since we're all art history majors we spent all of our time at museums and in the dom. the museums were AMAZING. museum ludwig is probably the best modern art museum i have ever seen. i came away really liking richard hamilton, duane hanson, and james rosenquist. i also saw my first dali in person, and it was absolutely wonderful. even though he is somewhat disturbed, i think he makes the most beautiful paintings.
and the other museum, which i don't remember the name of had a really good pre-renaissance dutch art collection. the dom was pretty awe inspiring as well.
my only regret is that i didn't get to see more of the city because i was so taken by the museums...
oh well: PARIS ON FRIDAY!!!!!!
